Fifteen years of Hot Creations deserves a celebration. Jamie Jones is giving it one.
Cue his first solo return in three years, “Murder Mystery.” It’s fittingly fun, with a sparky, seemingly endless supply of energy, verve, ear-catching percussion, and rolling basslines in abundance, too. “Murder Mystery” adds yet another highlight to Hot Creations’ banner year, bolstered by a strong slate of events spanning weekly takeovers in the UNVRS Bunker, a string of Paradise shows (Ibiza Closing Party, Warehouse Project, Amsterdam Dance Event), and headline sets in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. Suffice it to say, Hot Creations is an apt name. While some say hindsight is 20/20, we never needed it to know Jones’ and Lee Foss’ label was built to move and shake. It’s in its DNA. Still is.
