Charlotte de Witte calls her eponymous debut album a “love letter to the clubs.” Conceptually, the third and final single ahead of its November 7 arrival, “The Heads that Know,” falls right in line, paying tribute to the locales that shaped her and later launched her career with a taught techno hitter iced with agile wordplay from Welsh producer Comma Dee

“It’s a poetic dispatch from the shadows,” says the Belgian techno maven. “It’s for the ones who move with quiet power. This track is a tribute to the underground. It's for the ones who move with certainty. It's for the heads that know.”

Dispatch from the shadows, it has. Since its first flash in her pop-up set on the Williamsburg Bridge in May, “The Heads that Know” has run laps in the live circuit, solidifying its identity as a must-play cut that, like its creator, reliably delivers. London fans can catch it live during her sold-out four-day, five-show takeover across The Shard, Fabric, The Cause, and Magazine from October 2 through 5, with one additional venue to be confirmed. Secure tickets to the pending show here, when announced, and listen below.

Rounding out “The Realm” and “No Division” with XSALT, “The Heads that Know” resoundingly confirms what this rollout has already proven: While Charlotte de Witte is the Belgian producer’s first LP, there’s nothing green about it.

"The Heads that Know" is out now via KNTXT. Buy it on Beatport.
