Thakzin Blends Ancestry, Spirit, and Future Sound on Debut Album 'Gods Window Pt. 1'
Beatport Next artist Thakzin steps into the spotlight with 'Gods Window Pt. 1,' an 18-track debut album that bridges African roots, spiritual energy, and futuristic 3Step sounds.

South African DJ/producer and 3Step pioneer Thakzin has officially released his highly anticipated debut album, Gods Window Pt. 1. The 18-track project from the Beatport Next artist marks a new chapter for one of the continent’s most innovative voices in electronic music, expanding on the sound he crystallized with 2022’s breakout single "The Magnificent Dance."
Thakzin’s debut Gods Window Pt. 1 is an 18-track trip that dives deep into story, ancestry, and healing while keeping the dance floor front and center. It blends his roots with bold, future-facing sounds, turning African identity into a no-skip, head-to-heart experience. Just like the landmark it’s named after, the album opens up a wide, spiritual view of the past, present, and future.
Its a journey that is powered by his signature 3Step sound – an organic fusion of Amapiano, deep house, and Afro-electronic textures that Thakzin describes more as a "state of mind" rather than a genre – a sonic approach that embodies the principles of intuition, honesty, and multiplicity. Collaborative energy is also a core tenant of the this immense debut LP, with a total of 24 artists featuring on the record, with names that include Atmos Blaq, Mpho.Wav, Citizen Deep, MÖRDA, Mzizi, Divine Keys and many more.
Widely supported by the likes of Black Coffee, Louie Vega, Keinemusik, and Laurent Garnier, Thakzin has already taken 3Step from Johannesburg clubs to global festival stages. Now, with his debut full-length, he delivers a panoramic vision that places African identity and creativity firmly at the center of global electronic music’s future.
