RaeCola Return with Bold New Project: Double Trouble EP
Out September 12th on all platforms
From the underground of LA to festival stages across the globe, dance music’s beloved twin duo RaeCola have built their reputation on refusing to play it safe. On September 12th, the South Side Chicago natives return with their Double Trouble EP — a three-track project that captures their signature, genre-defying sound and uncompromising groove, resulting in their most daring release yet.
The Tracks
- “Double Trouble” – the title track radiates club intensity and boss energy that has come to define the sisters’ performances.
- “No Time to Talk” – a floor-filling cut with a tongue-in-cheek reminder: the dancefloor isn’t for discourse — it’s for movement.
- “Said I Don’t Need You But..” – RaeCola’s emotional side shines here, pairing break-inspired, lo-fi percussion with layered female vocals for a track that’s fierce yet vulnerable.
On the EP, the duo shares:
“The shows we played this year have been straight out of our dreams! Creating this EP while touring let us really capture the energy of these moments — from getting pumped up to BTS of love on the road.”
RaeCola’s Journey
Since debuting with “Double Dutch” on Justin Jay’s Fantastic Voyage in 2022, RaeCola have steadily carved out a reputation as one of dance music’s most sought-after new acts.
Their momentum has only grown:
- Released “Match My Vibe” with Australian collaborators Tom Budin, Oscar Jamo, and Kvision
- Joined Aluna’s Noir Fever camp in 2024, creating “Nite Cap” and “ACAPULCO!” alongside Farrah Fawx and Uniiqu3
- Developed a signature sound blending Chicago house, jackin’ house, and ghetto tech with a modern, bass-heavy edge, inspired by pioneers like DJ Slugo and DJ Godfather.

- Ultra Miami
- Lollapalooza
- Shambhala
