After echoing across the club and festival circuit, MORTEN and David Guetta’s explosive new collaboration “Lucky” has landed, proving that future rave is no fad, but rather a full-fledged revolution.

Emboldened by its belt-along-friendly rap-adjacent hook – “Lucky, lucky, I’ve been winning/Clock don’t stop still spinnin’/Lucky lucky, I ain’t trippin’/Took that shot now I’m livin’” – “Lucky” has set the dance/electronic scene abuzz since it first detonated at Tomorrowland. In the time that has followed, the self-confident single has only continued to pick up steam, stoking interest in its vault from a red-hot ID to bona fide release, with several sports clubs in France, Italy, Spain, and Denmark even using “Lucky” on their social media accounts. Listen below.

After considerable anticipation, the wait for “Lucky” is over – but the cut's upward trajectory is only just beginning. The track is the latest shining example of MORTEN and Guetta's future rave ingenuity, which dates back to 2020, when the duo formalized the future rave concept via their New Rave EP (Guetta's first-ever EP).

The production pair developed future rave to fill a void in dance/electronic music by bridging elements of the underground with mainstage sensibilities, culminating in sexy rave music that defies categorization, so much so that MORTEN and Guetta coined their own name for it. Five years later, they're still compellingly steering its sound, and future rave's inherent fire is only getting hotter.

“Lucky” is out now via Future Rave. Buy it on Beatport.
