The closest clubgoers can get to a time machine back to the West End venue, ‘This is The End, 1995 – 2025: Defining an Era,’ will soon revive the London hotspot’s spirit for one weekend in October. From October 10 through 12, The End’s founders, Layo Paskin and Mr C, will celebrate the club’s historical contributions to London’s electronic music scene through the commemorative event, to be held at KOKO in Camden.

After opening in 1995, The End made a name for itself through vibrant, genre-specific parties (ranging from dubstep Wednesdays to house and techno on Saturdays) and residencies from seminal acts, such as Andy C and Fatboy Slim

"The End redefined our city’s underground scene, with its cutting-edge soundsystem, intimate atmosphere, and lineups that shaped electronic music history. The venue represented a restoration of acid house’s music integrity, but with an ambition to pull the experience into the awaiting millennium," Layo Paskin wrote on Instagram.

The club eventually closed in January 2009 but reopened several months later that same year as The Den, following a downturn in the property market. The Den was operational through the summer of 2012.

Although the lineup for “This is The End” is still forthcoming, the programming “will pay homage to the innovative sounds of The End, with some of the best artists in the game,” reports London On The Inside. Pre-sale tickets to the weekend’s shows go on sale at 11 a.m. on August 29. The general sale starts at 12 p.m. that same day. Sign up for pre-sale access here
