Eight years ago, 'FABRICLIVE' went quiet. Now, Pola & Bryson break the silence with a nimble, bass-forward drum & bass mix that formally launches 'FABRICLIVE presents.'
The new mix/compilation series nods to the original and famed 'FABRICLIVE' series, which ran from 2001 to 2018. During nearly two tastemaking decades, 'FABRICLIVE' carved out its niche as one of UK club culture’s most esteemed and defining mix series, known for serving up the freshest sounds in bass music, bringing the fabric experience to streamers’ speakers.
Available digitally (as a digipack CD) or physically (as a double-vinyl LP), FABRICLIVE presents Pola & Bryson “reflects some of the sounds we’re especially drawn to, just one take among many in a genre that never stops evolving,” say the producers. “We’ve always been inspired by how many flavours and offshoots drum & bass has evolved into. Every time we mix, we naturally gravitate toward that variety, blending contrasting styles in a way that still feels cohesive.”
Listen below.
Full of “liquid sculptures and big boy rollers,” the one-hour-plus mix features submissions from the duo (like opener “Worlds Apart” featuring Emily Makis), as well as Camo & Krooked, Etherwood, Hugh Hardie, and Mefjus, among others.
FABRICLIVE presents Pola & Bryson is out now via fabric Records. Buy it on Beatport.
