Chris Avantgarde’s sonic fingerprint grows twofold with the launch of his Hyperreal label and the announcement of his debut album of the same name. The imprint’s first release, “Energy,” brings just that, cutting through the noise of New Music Friday with gravitas and finesse.
The six-minute, high-gloss introduction to Hyperreal maximizes impact with sawing basslines, entrancing synthwork, and a topline that commands attention. These flourishes contributed to its status as one of the most sought-after IDs of the 2025 festival season, scoring support from titans across genres ranging from Alesso to Pete Tong to Tiësto.
And when it comes to Avantgarde’s ethos for Hyperreal, “Energy” fits right in:
“Hyperreal marks the launch of my new label and debut album, combining all my influences and music I play live into one coherent project. It’s an ode to versatility and freedom, unconstrained by genre limitations yet still a consecutive-sounding project with my signature on every piece of output,” he says.
Listen below.
The imprint, formed in partnership with boom. records, will welcome Avantgarde’s awaited debut album in 2026. Longer-term, Hyperreal will “support up-and-coming and established artists with a no-compromise approach to originality and quality in club and electronic music,” he adds. “Through collaboration, live events, licensing, merchandising, and more, our goal is to shine a light on what matters most, the music and emotion, while giving the label's family of artists the freedom and opportunity to experiment and push the boundaries of their own creative expression.”
"Energy" is out now via Hyperreal. Buy it on Beatport.
