A staple of the global underground and one Beatport's top-selling deep house artists of the past decade, Serge Devant has long been respected for his hypnotic sound, emotional depth, and undeniable presence behind the decks. Now, the NYC-based producer kicks off a bold new chapter with the launch of his own label This Moment – a platform built for timeless, story-driven music.
Its debut release? The stunning new single “Solace” featuring longtime collaborator Camille Safiya, with added firepower from Seth Troxler and Nick Morgan who turn in a remix that strips things back with a late-night, heads-down groove interpretation of the track. Listen below.
Ten years after their breakout track “Fearing Love” on Emerald City, Serge and Camille reunite for a powerful sequel that blends swirling melodies, deep atmospheres, and a vocal performance that cuts right to the heart. It’s a rich, cinematic slow-burner that shows Serge doing what he does best – crafting immersive music with soul and purpose.
Visually, “Solace” picks up exactly where the “Fearing Love” video left off – reuniting the original cast and crew a full decade later for a stunning, emotionally charged continuation that’s as unique and ambitious as the music itself.
"I grew up on MTV and VH1, watching music videos that had weight and substance," explains Serge. "These days that feels like a lost art. Building a world around music visually isn't as common in the industry anymore - and wanting to change that. To bring that experience back in a way that felt real and intentional. With 'Solace,' I wanted to continue the story. I reached out to the same actors from 'Fearing Love' - ten years later - and they were all in."
