In an industry often focused on immediate impact and viral moments, artists who dare to use their music as vessels for personal transformation stand out. For multi-disciplinary producer Lauren Mia, each release serves as both artistic statement and spiritual milestone — a practice that has taken her from classical piano training to the stages of Tomorrowland and ZAMNA, to the launch of her own Halcyon Label.

Her latest single, "Coda Sublimé," her sophomore release on Armada Electronic Elements, represents some of her most intentional work yet: a deliberate ritual marking the end of one life chapter and the beginning of another. Here, she reflects on the deeper currents that drive her artistry.

"Coda Sublimé" is the closing of a major chapter in my life and the quiet beginning of a new one.

As with many pivotal moments in my journey, I've turned to music to honor and commemorate transformation. This track holds deep meaning for me. It is entirely instrumental, allowing the synthesis to speak where words fall short. The melodies carry themes of hope, resilience, and power, and reflect the duality I often explore in my work. I believe our very reality is built on contrast. You can feel it in the uplifting, euphoric breakdown and again in the deeper, more commanding drop.

This year has been one of immense transformation. Personally, spiritually, and creatively, I feel myself shifting. As I move through this new decade of life and step beyond my Saturn return, I feel my sound evolving once again — but not into something unfamiliar. Rather, I am returning to the more visceral, driving aspects of my artistry that have always existed in my music.

If you remember RE:BIRTH, my debut album, it was a versatile body of work rooted in melodic techno, but it closed with three tracks that leaned into hard techno and psytrance. That transition was intentional. Trance, which first pulled me into the world of electronic music, has always held a sacred place in my heart. It reflects the psychedelic and plant medicine work that continues to shape my life. That influence is timeless and will always remain a part of me.

"Coda Sublimé" is one of several releases that serve as the bridge between who I was and who I am becoming. They mark the closing of one life chapter and the slow emergence of the next. They are the final breath of an old self and the first exhale of the new.

This next evolution of my sound will still carry the emotional depth and storytelling I have always been known for — the Mia melodies, melodies that my heart is made of. But it also brings back the trance, hard techno, and psytrance elements that have appeared in my work before, now re-emerging with intention and clarity. These frequencies are designed to move both body and spirit.

I am so grateful to release this piece on Armada, a label I have admired for years and a home to a global community of incredible artists. This release means a great deal to me and I am honored to share it with you.
