SCRIPT returns to Three Six Zero Recordings with mainstage weapon 'WTF'
Here he talks about the record, his recent tours and what he has cooking the rest of the year.

Congratulations on the release of ‘WTF’. Can you tell us how the record came about?
Thank you so much! I’m so happy this record is finally out of the ID vault! I’m always searching for new sounds and inspiration when it comes to making music. I had always wanted to attempt to make some kind of house music, especially since I was making melodic techno and felt it to be a bit dry. I opened up Ableton and the melody came to me and the rest was history — the whole track was done in about 3 hours.
You’ve been playing it out for a while, how has the reaction been when you’ve played it?
I’ve been testing it for the past couple of months at my shows and no matter where I am in the world, it is one of the standout songs from my set, so I knew we had to get it out!
The likes of Anyma, Max Styler and HNTR have been supporting it. How does it feel to have your records played by some of the scene's top artists?
The support is always so nice to see. I’ve been working with Anyma for a little over a year now on music together and to get his approval and support on my own music is so genuinely special. I’ve looked up to his project for the longest time. I love everything Max Styler and HNTR are doing for the scene. HNTR, Layton Giordani, and Cassian have all been championing the track so that’s really cool to see.
This is your second release with TSZR, what’s it like working with them as a label and why did they feel like the right home for this record?
TSZR has been such an incredible home for my music. We worked on my collaboration with Cassian and Belladonna “Where I’m From” together which went absolutely crazy. Seeing that song rise and continue to rise since the release has been so cool to watch. The team is just very knowledgeable when it comes to pitches and how to get the song in as many hands as possible. When we started talking about a home for “WTF” it was a no brainer to do it with them. I couldn’t be happier to be working together on another record.
You kicked off 2025 with being the first American Electronic artist to play The Sphere as part of Anyma’s ‘End Of Genesys’ shows. How do you prepare going into something like that?
You know, it’s so crazy to hear that still. When they were building the Sphere I told myself, how cool would it be to DJ in there, and then two years later I got to step foot onto the stage and play the Anyma Residency there. It was such a trip, seeing my manifestation come to life, and to be able to get the opportunity to play with him after only knowing him for less than a year. I didn’t know how to prepare for it, to be honest. I was given a super detailed set time and was told I couldn’t go overtime no matter the reason, so I sat in my studio for 3 weeks and built my set — which was also 100% SCRIPT music — and made sure every transition was perfect. So when I got to DJ it, I could fully enjoy the experience of playing in that venue and be present in the moment. I’m so happy I decided to do this, it was such an epic experience.
This year you toured Europe and played in Dubai and Turkey. What was it like performing in new countries, and how did the crowd’s energy compare to US crowds?
It’s always a blast performing to new crowds in new countries. The energy over there is unmatched, I’ve only ever seen that same energy at festivals like Lollapalooza. Lolla is a dream play for me, I can definitely see it happening one day. But back to Dubai and Turkey — the energy in these places is next to nothing I’ve experienced! They stay from the very first song to the very last moment. They dance the entire set and it just makes me want to dance even more and give them more of my energy, even if I haven’t slept in 2 days haha.
You started the year off in such a big way, with the previously mentioned shows and some big releases — what does the rest of the year have in store?
This year has been really crazy for me and my music. We started it off with my release of Flex My Ice with John Summit’s label, Experts Only. Then what felt like only a week later, I dropped my track Where I’m From, then my collaboration with Anyma, In My Mind. Then we dropped two remixes of Nosi’s So Good and Maesic’s Life Is Simple, and straight into my collaboration with Innellea, Trust! It’s been one of the craziest years of releases for me personally, but I wouldn’t have done it any other way. With WTF now out, the next thing I can tease is my version of Kid Cudi’s Mr. Rager. It’s been a staple late in my sets — I usually end with it. Other than WTF, it’s been the most asked-for release of this year, so we got it all cleared and it’s happening next up! I can’t wait to get that one out as it was the standout moment in my Sphere set! And beyond that, we’ll have to wait and see — I work on music every day so we’ve got a lot of new music coming!
