Rebūke Drops Hotly-Anticipated Debut Album, 'World Of Era'
The stunning, highly intentional, and immersive LP is among the most awaited dance/electronic albums of the year, with a world tour to follow.

Between big-time collaborations (deadmau5, Au/Ra), forward-thinking sound design, and a concept that cohesively stitches it all together, World Of Era has all the trappings of a big-time LP – some of which might not be expected of an artist’s debut album. But as his decision to delay its release to get “a bit more time to get it right” indicated, Rebūke wasn’t going to bring anything less than his very best to his first long-player.
The result is a visceral, 15-track audiovisual escapade that’s equal parts futuristic and cinematic. On it, the Irish producer amplifies the interplay of what is heard and what is seen by creating a visual narrative to accompany each song. Together, they forge the path through a dystopian wonderland woven with darkness and, paradoxically, beauty. While the dance/electronic scene has known that Rebūke possesses a razor-sharp ear and eye for crafting compelling sensory experiences, on World Of Era, his world-building reaches a new apex, offering an inventive format that allows listeners to engage with the album in a novel way – and in a genre not known first for albums, nonetheless
"With this album, I wanted fans to fully immerse themselves in the World Of Era, so every track represents a different chapter in that universe. It’s been designed as a visual journey, taking the listeners through the various parts of this dystopian world, where, along the way, they’ll meet key characters, all with stories that unfold," Rebūke tells Beatportal. "[I'm] so excited to see it all come together when the World Of Era tour kicks off in September!"

It's only fitting that a project operating so decidedly at the intersection of sight and sound translates to the live setting and, come August, the album will do just that during its supporting tour. The audiovisual spectacular – Rebūke's first-ever world tour – takes his arresting production on the road from August through December, with stops in Medellín, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Prague, and more.
