Jochem Hamerling & BLR collide on festival-ready Truesoul jam
An exclusive collaborative project lands on Truesoul

Truesoul continues to champion emerging talent and innovative collaborations.
Dutch pair Jochem Hamerling and BLR have long been connected, trading track ideas back and forth, before hitting the sonic sweet spot with ‘Collision’.
We know BLR from his series of collaborative tracks with Matt Sassari – ‘The Incident’, which dropped in early 2024, before the stunning ‘Close Encounters’ came soon after. The producer has a fantastic ability to craft groove-ridden rollers, fit for both house and techno situations.
Meanwhile, Hamerling is a mainstay of the Dutch electronic music scene. On a local level, he curates radio shows for SLAM! and Radio 538, earning a Gouden Radioring nomination for his contributions, while building a deep knowledge of music driven by years of passion. His production career is building with releases on Watergate, A State of Trance, and Eelke Kleij’s Days Like Nights imprint.
‘Collision’ was made for big moments, possessing energy and atmosphere in spades. The percussive techno cut feels like a natural evolution of Dutch legend Marco V’s landmark productions of the mid-2000s, building loads of rhythmic energy from start to finish, while bringing the vibes with thrilling melodic flourishes. Cracking!
"Leon and I have been exchanging ideas for years, but this is the first track we've fully finished together. It started with a basic idea I put together, and Leon brought it to life with his signature groove which really tied everything together. It’s amazing to finally see it released on Truesoul.”
