RAY VOLPE AND MATHUE UNVEIL “ANESTHETIC”
A MELODIC, HEART-RACING CLOSER TURNED FAN FAVORITE

Powerhouse bass producer Ray Volpe continues to raise the stakes ahead of his debut album with “ANESTHETIC,” in collaboration with singer-songwriter and producer Mathue—the fourth single to arrive from FOREVER, VOLPETRON, out later this year.
A striking contrast to his heavier hits, “ANESTHETIC” sees Volpe lean into his melodic roots—and fans are already hooked. Unveiled as the emotional closer to his EDC Las Vegas 2025 set, the track exploded online after soundtracking the festival’s firework finale. The entire performance was live-streamed by Insomniac and is now available on Ray’s YouTube channel, where over 100,000 viewers have experienced the set that teases music from his debut album.
Known for balancing high-impact sound design with intense emotionality, Ray Volpe showcases his impressive artistic range on “ANESTHETIC.” The track builds with emotional lyrics before blossoming into a euphoric drop that delivers both power and catharsis.
Lending his vocals to the track is Mathue—his other project, BOI WHAT, went viral for producing metalcore while singing entirely through a Plankton vocal filter. “ANESTHETIC” offers fans a chance to hear Mathue’s real voice—raw, emotive, and perfectly in sync with Ray’s soaring melodies and polished production.
Though made for the festival mainstage, the track also stands out as one of Volpe’s most accessible and crossover-ready releases yet. It effortlessly bridges the worlds of melodic bass and mainstream appeal, making it a natural fit for genre-blurring playlists. With “ANESTHETIC,” Ray Volpe further solidifies his place not just as a festival favorite, but as a rising force in the broader landscape of electronic music.
Ray Volpe shares:
“MELODIC BASS IS SO BACK! I’m so happy to finally release ‘ANESTHETIC’ with Mathue!
Working with Mathue was so easy; he’s such an incredible singer/songwriter as well as producer, & this one’s been such a good one to end my sets with.
I’ve been making melodic bass since 2010, ever since I started my career really, so I’m really stoked to come back to it & showcase what my debut album is gonna be looking like—everything I love to create, no matter the genre.
I hope I hear everyone singing along to this at the next shows!!”
Now, with four singles from FOREVER, VOLPETRON out in the world, the vision for Ray Volpe’s debut album is coming into focus: genre-fluid, emotionally charged, and designed for every festival stage.
