Goulth Alik: Where Melodic Techno Meets Desert Longing
Some collaborations don't just cross genres—they cross continents, eras, and hearts. Goulth Alik, the magnetic centerpiece of the EP Last Journey, is the fruit of a bold encounter between French producers Wydji, Damnesie, and the Moroccan singer Glios.

Built as a sonic ritual between two souls "meant to love but also destroy each other," Goulth Alik dives into the emotional chaos of unspoken words and unsolved endings. The production rides on dual planes: one hypnotic and low-tempo, the other more intoxicating and visceral.
"We wanted the music to follow the emotional polarity of the lyrics—half pain, half trance," shares Wydji.
The track opens with a trip-hop infused intro, then subtly unveils the voice of Glios singing in Arabic over the melancholic plucking of a live oud.
“The moment I heard the reversed vocal sample, I swore it said ‘Ya Habibi’. That was the sign to bring Arabic soul into the piece,” says Glios.
Technically intricate yet emotionally raw, the team worked through the challenge of mixing acoustic and electronic elements while maintaining authenticity.
"Integrating the oud while keeping its depth—without losing the Moog’s gravity—was our biggest challenge," adds Damnesie.
Goulth Alik is a magnetic last dance—a farewell that lingers like sand in your lungs.
"Imagine two souls, loving and hating each other. The journey is not easy, but you’re gonna dance to it."
