Two of Brazil's hottest exports come together to craft a house song guaranteed to go down as one of the summer's dance/electronic highlights.

“Ocean” is cool as a cucumber – just like the Brazilian talents behind it. Topped with buttery-smooth vocals from “soul singer,” Anduze, Maz and Viot’s fluid debut collaboration couples sun-kissed rhythms with percussive grooves in a format fit for a luxe lounge or an intimate club.
Between the sizable splash both producers have made in international dance circles and the sheer seamlessness with which their styles coalesce, a team-up involving two of Brazil’s hottest exports was less of a prospect and more of a promise. “Ocean” is potent proof not only of why, but also of just how much Maz and Viot complement each other. Listen below.
The aqueous single lands via Maz’s combined label and event series, Dawn Patrol, which operates at the intersection of his two passions: music and surf. The platform’s influence extends to both dance floors and ocean floors, thanks to beach cleanups that Maz has coordinated before shows that thread elements of tech, tribal grooves, and Afro-house into his dynamic and alluring brand of sound that’s easy on the ears but not easily defined.
“Ocean” is out now via Dawn Patrol Records. Buy it on Beatport.
