Unedited Burial interview in The Wire

The UK’s The Wire magazine has posted a full, unedited transcript of their recent interview with dubstep artist Burial, published in their magazine in issue #287, December 2007.
In the interview from the session with journalist Mark Fisher, Burial — who is notoriously difficult to track down for interviews — is quite revealing about the personal feelings that go into his music.
Burial talks extensively about the musical influence that his older brother had on him, how he’s never attended a rave and about his love of whale sounds.
“Mates laugh at me because I like whale songs but I love ‘em, I like vocals to be like that, like a night cry, an angel animal.”
He also talks about the inspiration from his mom in creating the song ‘Archangel’:
