‘Having DJ’d since the early 1990s, Jonathan Coe’s taste in music has been influenced and inspired by a broad and diverse experience.  Not one to dwell on the past and cling to nostalgia, Coe is always looking for the newest and next thing, but is mindful of the rich and long history of underground dance music.

Coe has a flare for tight and dynamic programming in his DJ sets.  His knack for choosing the right track for the right moment at any club or party and his ability to connect styles ranging from disco to techno have made for many memorable moments.  He has shared the company and has been influenced by many domestic and international DJs who do likewise.  Among others, Coe has shared billings and promoted events featuring Kenny Glasgow, dj Heather, John Acquaviva, Kevin Yost, Richie Hawtin, Trevor Walker, Roger Sanchez, Jason Palma, Andrew Allsgood, Paul E. Lopes, Kristian Beyer (Ame) and Mr. Scruff.

Based in London, Canada, Coe has a long history of promoting successful events.  Many will remember long and late nights at the Shot, the Wave, the Base, Lush, the Rise parties and his monthly joint “JUMPIN’” with now Toronto-based Andycapp (one half of the Gang of Two).  Coe now embraces the intimacy of the city’s most happening dance pub - the Alex P. Keaton.

Underground music is closely tied with his career as a motion graphics designer and Flash website developer, counting Definitive Recordings, Minus, John Acquaviva, Toronto’s Milk Events/Audio and Richie Hawtin among his clients.
