Techno legends Slam celebrate ten years of Pressure

Beatportal speaks to techno icons Slam as they prepare to celebrate the 10th anniversary of one of dance music’s biggest club nights - Pressure.
Pressure hits double figures this weekend, no mean feat when you consider the fickle nature of today’s clubbers.
Co-founders of Soma Recordings, Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle better known as Slam launched the monthly event way back in 1998.

They said about Woodstock: “If you remember it you weren’t there,” and that’s certainly the case with my fragile self as I try to piece together my hectic weekend.
I followed Dubfire and Damian Lazarus from Glasgow’s Sub Club to T in the Park, (along with 80,000 others) - Scotland’s longest running music festival.

Amongst the artists taking part are Chicago house icon DJ Sneak, UK stalwarts The Black Dog, Anja Schneider of the highly rated Berlin label Mobilee Records and legendary producer and DJ Dave Clarke.
