A sold out crowd braved the cold air last night to see The Hard Sell starring California turntablists DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, with a special opening set by Canada’s own Kid Koala.

There are many reasons to hate Toronto.

Be it the frigid winters, scorching summer, crappy subway system or the lack of a winning sports team.

But, for all the things wrong with the city, the music scene has been thriving for as long as anyone can remember.

The Toronto dance music scene has matured over the years and developed into something to rival any of the worldwide clubbing destinations.

A talented pool of local DJs and producers (MSTRKRFT, Deadmau5 [check out his tunes in the player below], Adam K), some awesome venues, a mass of fans and a constant influx of international talent has secured Toronto as one of North America’s bright spots.
