In the Spring of 1994, Tony Z. parted ways with X-Mix Productions after assisting founder/owner Neil Petricone in developing the X-Mix DJ Remix Service as well as the careers of Armand Van Helden, Lenny B. and DJ Sneak. He went on to pioneer DJ culture online, launching the first website to broadcast mix shows produced by the world’s most sought after DJs in 1995.

Since the heady days of Web 1.0, Tony Z. graduated from the dance music industry, where he was an outspoken proponent of Internet technologies, to the great Internet industry. He has quietly worked behind the scenes to manage the development of complex entertainment media web sites, blogs, applications and other interactive products while keeping his toes dipped in the waters of tech and progressive house.

On a break between ‘01 and ‘03, Tony Z. relaunched Netmix as a blog with the simple goal of participating and perpetuating dance music and DJ culture online, and he continues the tradition today writing, mixing and visually
capturing DJ culture through photography and video.
