Dance-floor ammo: Dapayk ‘Deva’ Remix

With lines like, “I love my cocaine”, “I need drugs” and “I f*ck my way to the top”, this track is pretty representative of a big part of the club scene, as far as DJ groupies go.

Boasting solidly satisfying beats and late-’80s Detroit stabs ‘n’ pads, ‘Deva’ remix is a beautiful and addictive rush.

Dance-floor ammo: ‘Sandwiches’

This is weirdest tech-house lick you’ve ever heard.

Actually, I take that back, the one I heard last night featuring samples of E.T. flirting with Elliott takes the trophy, but this is still weird as sh*t…

The art in DJ Max Fever is particularly striking, so check out the finer details inside.

Grooverider released from Dubai prison?

The word on the internet is that Grooverider, the drum & bass legend who was incarcerated in Dubai earlier in the year following the discovery of a small amount of marijuana and porn in his possession, has been freed.

This is what DJ Hype’s AIM account is saying, as you can see in the lead pic.

All AIM accounts in the pic have been digitally altered to protect their users’ anonymity.

Monstrous drum and bass track – ‘Diplodocus’

They don’t come much fatter than a ‘Diplodocus’.

With all the frenzied debate in drum & bass circles about what constitutes ‘real D&B’, it’s pretty safe to assume that ‘Diplodocus’ is as real as it gets.

Produced by drum & bass geniuses Noisia – a trio of Dutch kids renowned for living in a bunker in the Netherlands, religiously churning out sounds over a LAN network – this tune represents technical D&B at its finest.
