Kerri got her start in dance music stuffing envelopes as an Ultra Records intern in 1999 (in exchange for Twilo comps). Upon graduation from NYU after only three years - yes, she was a total nerd - she took a job at Mixer magazine (RIP), transcribing interviews from video cassettes. She escaped a few months later and launched trade magazine Club Systems International, now known as Club World, which she still edits. She launched the Club World Awards in 2003, the only nightlife awards show in the U.S., which takes place every March in Miami.

Kerri has also covered electronic/dance music for Billboard magazine since 2005, in addition to Disney strumpets, Broadway cast albums, and nu-metal (when they let her).

Along the way she has served in the illustrious capacity of cashier at Danny Tenaglia’s legendary Be Yourself party, been interviewed on the History Channel as a disco expert, moderated panels at the International Music Summit in Ibiza, interviewed almost every DJ at least once, and helped launch mega-venue Pacha New York.

She loves all music and is excited to be a part of Beatportal.
