Jonas Tempel started the entrepreneurial journey by founding his first company, Factory Design Labs, Inc in 1996. Factory is a youth focused, brand development agency where Jonas held the roles of CEO/Creative Director and currently sits as the Chairman. Factory’s current and past client roster includes Sony Pictures, Audi North America, Oakley, Intrawest, Native Instruments, Dell, Adam Sandler, and Walt Disney.

Never one to turn down a challenge, Jonas helped co-found Beatport in 2003 with a group of friends and the support of Factory. As a long time DJ, award winning graphic designer, branding and marketing executive, Beatport is the perfect consolidation of Jonas’ professional experience. In 2004, Jonas stepped down as CEO/Creative Director of Factory to engage Beatport as the CEO and Chairman full time. Beatport has grown to become the recognized leader of online electronic music retail. The site is focused on providing relevant content to professional DJ’s and fans of electronic music. Still DJing regularly, Jonas holds residencies at the acclaimed Denver nightclubs, The Church and Vinyl, where he plays host to the top DJ talent in the world.

Jonas graduated in 1993 from Colorado State University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in graphic design.
