Hi!  My name is Shannon and I am an amateur.  My musical tastes run the gamut from opera to bluegrass, and I’m a devotee when it comes to electronica.  In particular, I love breaks and DnB. 

Some time ago, I asked myself, “How do they do that?”.  Ever since I’ve been playing at digital music creation.  I chronicle my creative outbursts and indulge in self-involved, uninformed and often humorous observations about the electronic music scene on my blog, GirlSonic.com.

By profession I am an investment manager, and I live in New York City with my life partner.  Doug knows even less about dance music than I do, but he is enthusiastic about our music-related adventures and a frequent presence in my posts.

Needless to say, I am surprised and pleased to be a contributor to Beatportal.com.  I hope that my posts will entertain and inform, and that the experts among our readers will not throw any rotten tomatoes.
