Born in Miami, Florida on March 21, 1983, Brian slapped vinyl onto steel for the first time in the mid-nineties at various underground parties and raves in South Florida, including the infamous “Full Moon” parties at the long-gone Malibu Grand Prix. Brian’s bass inspired alter-ego “DJ TeKWReK” was born.

During his attendance to the University of Central Florida, Brian began working and spinning at the legendary “CLUB AT FIRESTONE” in Downtown Orlando.  Soon the club life truly absorbed him, and TeKWReK decided to take his expanded skills back home to Miami.

Back in Miami, TeKWReK absorbed a lot more of the scene, as Breakbeats and Trance had gone to the way side, and House music was now fighting with Hip-Hop for the top seat in the South Beach club scene.  TeKWReK decided to get into promotions to try to throw some parties himself.  After teaming up with Gerry Kelly at STATE, TeKWReK spun and promoted along side skilled DJs like Mike E. Simm, DJ Vertigo, Armand Pena, Gaby Fain, Ivano Bellini, just to name a few.

The next year, TeKWReK found himself working at Space34 in downtown Miami, spinning along side solid acts like The Black Eyed Peas, Missy Elliott, Funk Master Flex, Flava Flav, Edgar V, Oscar G, DJ Craze, Bruno, Sander Kleinenberg, Nic Fanculli, Danny Howells, and many more.

In 2007, TeKWReK decided to leave the club scene to expand his skill set yet again.  Now armed with his own studio, where no expense was spared, TeKWReK actually decided to retire.  However, TeKWReK left only to make way for someone better, Brian DeLaFunk!
