- Biography:
I was born to CPT and Mrs. Morehouse on July 6th, 1980 at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA. I moved with my family to Vicenza, Italy when I was two, and I attended an Italian pre-school. My family moved to Annandale, VA in 1984 when my dad was stationed at the Pentagon. My family and I moved again in 1988 to Ansbach, Germany. Then we moved to Newport News, VA in 1992. I attended 9th and 10th grades at Denbigh High School. This is when one of my friends, Brian, introduced me to techno. I bought my first electronica tape(Speed Limit 140 BPM +5) around the summer of 1994. although I had been listening to a lot of my friends tapes, too. We then moved to Gloucester, VA where I attended, and graduated from, Gloucester High School.
I joined the Army after I graduated, and went to Fort Knox,KY for OSUT to be a 19K (Armor crewman) in September of 1999. My first duty station I was assigned to was Fort Hood, TX with Delta Co. 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment “Demons” (3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division). During my time at Fort Hood I was out in the field a lot. My friends and I that went to raves all decided we wanted to DJ, so we all bought separate items. I bought a bunch of records, my friend Jay bought a mixer, and my friend Jeremy bought the turntables. We all learned how to DJ using belt driven turntables. :) This was around November of 2000, just 9 months after my first rave (It’s like I went through childbirth!) I was also deployed to Kuwait twice during my time at Fort Hood. Once before Sept. 11th, and once after.
I also got into raving when I first got stationed at Fort Hood. My first rave was at the Austin City Music Hall in April of 2000. I don’t know the name of the rave, but I know Frankie Bones and Heather Heart were headlining. I spent what time I had at raves, when I wasn’t deployed or out in the field.
In August of 2002, a few months after returning from Kuwait, I was PCS’d to Camp Casey, Korea. I was assigned to Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 72nd Armor Regiment “Cold Steel” (2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division). After three months of going “down range”, I decided I needed a hobby. I bought some turntables from a friend and already had a mixer and some records, so I began DJing in my bedroom. I did this for the next year. Every night I’d get off of work, and I would go to my bedroom and practice DJing.
I re-enlisted when I was in Korea, and asked to be stationed in Germany. After I left Korea, in November of 2003, I PCS’d to Vilseck, Germany. I was assigned to Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment “Avengers” (3rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division). Our company was deployed to Iraq from February of 2004 to March of 2005. If you want to know, ask me.
I got out of the Army in January of 06 and moved back to VA. I was only there for a short while when I made the move to Texas. Since I’ve lived in Texas, I’ve worked at Dell, selling computers, and now work as a tech support agent for FedEx software.
I am also enrolled at Austin Community College, pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Commercial Music Management (only 5 more courses!!!). Most recently I have taken a remixing class with Francis Preve (Hasown, Caboose, Yin, Yang). I learned so much valuable information for Francis. he’s a great teacher and mentor. I use my spare time to work on making new music, remixes, and continuing to practice DJing.
