Tomoki Tamura & Nono [Four Twenty...
#05 in this month's The 20Four:Twenty’s newest signings Tomoki & Nono have come up with one of the label’s heaviest-hitting EPs to date.
The revolving bassline on ‘Voices’ jacks and squiggles under increasingly frenetic motors and buzzsaws, making for a real peaktime burner.
Where ‘Voices’ plunges downwards, ‘3 Years’ reaches up for the stars, its grungy bassline offset by echoing synth flourishes.
The precocious and prolific Manuel Tur does remix duty on ‘3 Years’, transforming the gritty original into something more suited for the late late hours - you should expect to hear this one from the Innervisions crew.
