Something of a DJ’ing veteran in his native Japan, DJ Sodeyama has been plying his trade since as early as 1993.

This richly populated EP draws mainly upon source material from Sodeyama’s wonderful ‘Dual’ LP which dropped earlier this year, also through No:More Rec. 

The assembled team of remixers represent some of Japan’s finest purveyors of underground house and techno and should serve as great introduction for those looking to broaden their electronic horizons from the US-European axis.

As an overview of the EP, Techriders remix of ‘Beyond the Flash’ pulls off a distinctly melodic take on the Plus 8 sound, A-inc blends Berlin bleeps with Detroit hi-hats on a re-rub of ‘Crystal Born’ and Kikiorix applies ‘Heart’s Ease’ with a spacious dose of deep percussion and progressive synth stabs.
