Minimal has never been a genre that lends itself too successfully to the LP format, however Berliners Format:B go someway to bucking the trend with an album that succeeds by never taking it’s eye off the dancefloor. 

Evidently Format:B did not bother trying to deviate into uncharted genres for the sake of the traditional album format and instead they focused solely on what they excel at. 

‘Steam Circuit’ comprises of 13 uptempo minimal cuts that go straight for the sonic jugular.

This is not a home listening experience, rather a collection of music that would be massively appreciated by DJs with a soft spot for the Format:B sound. 

Seek out ‘Bootcut’, ‘2 Quiet’ and ‘Widow Maker’ if you’re just in the market for some highlights.
