Sebastien Leger promises to keep the tunes wild and varied on his new label Mistakes Music is coming good. The first release ‘Pluton / Saturn’ in April was progressive house with a hint of electro, but here on ‘Mars / Mercure’ (who knows what he’ll do when he runs out of planets) he dons a full on electro house hat.

Sounding like something straight out of the Bodyrox’ studio, ‘Mars’ is built around a simple yet devastating bass loop that Sébastien Léger builds and builds taking it higher and higher in the breakdown before dropping down into a squirming groove.

The beats are tight and crunchy and there’s enough squeaks and bleeps to keep the techno lot happy.

‘Mercure’ (that’s how ze French spell it) is a much more laid-back affair.

Delays and a sexy synth melody build the track towards a happy conclusion.

Sébastien Léger is on fire at the moment.
