Let’s Go Juno
Rejected [Rejected]
#15 in this month's The 20After two successful releases, Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal are back with a new EP under their Rejected![[a]](http://www.beatportal.com/images/site/misc/wiki_box_a.gif)
moniker.
The story how Joris Voorn and Edwin Oosterwal met is quite interesting – both came joint first in a DJ competition run by Dutch club Atak in 1996 where they both became resident DJs.
Then at the end of the 1990s the pair went on their separate ways – Edwin buggered off to Sydney and then New York City; Voorn stayed in The Netherlands and continued to pursue his DJ dreams – now he’s one of the world’s most prolific techno producers.
Since the pair joined forces again as Rejected, the buzz has been building thanks to their back-to-back house and techno DJ sets and their quality techno releases, such as this EP ‘Let’s Go Juno’.
The lead track is the pair’s best offering yet, and showcases a new more big room influence to Voorn’s Detroit-inspired techno.
On the flip, ‘Lost’ is a deep hypnotic minimal groove that is punctuated fantastically by offbeat drum hits.
Swirling synths and trippy FX make it sound like a particularly harrowing drug-induced trip. Let’s go.
