#16 in this month's The 20

Suspense is a DJ’s most powerful weapon, and Giorgos Gatzigristos’ ‘Proper Latin Usage’ has bucketloads of it.

On the original, acid basslines and squelching synths crash into each other to create a mind-bending journey into the outer rhythms of techno whilst the Kevin Gorman remix of ‘Proper Latin Usage’ blips along like a timebomb.

The tick-tocking of Gorman’s mix is almost unbearable, and by the time the main electronic lead drifts into reverb hell, the click is firmly imprinted in your brain.

Powerful music for the underground.
