Sometimes simplicity is the key to a dancefloor hit as Perc [pictured] and Fractal prove with their new single ‘Up’ on Kompakt. Pounding techno beats underpin a rising lead synth that gets louder and higher by the second, ascending like a rocket into space.
The producers manage to stretch out the synth for what seems like an eternity, teasing the dancefloor with unexpected mini breakdowns and Perc’s trademark snare hits.
This is one of those records which is simply a DJ tool.
Need to crank up the tempo and kick start the dancefloor properly?
The only way is up.
