Neues Testament - Roman IV

Neues Testament

Roman IV [Playhouse ]

#13 in this month's The 20

The last time Roman Flügel donned his Roman IV cap for Playhouse was back in 1995 on ‘Altes Testament’.

On ‘Neues Testament’ the line can easily be traced from its predecessor; 12 years down the line, wriggly funk still seems to resonate with Flügel.

The track rides merrily abreast a tide of guitar-like synth shots and grumbling bass.

B-side ‘As Time Goes Bye-Bye’ marries classic drum machines and a dramatic arpeggio line for something altogether more sinister.
