Innervisions first compilation is an unexpected pleasure.

Label boss Dixon threw out the deep house manifesto and instead recruited his producer friends such as Tokyo Black Star, Henrik Schwarz and Âme to produce serene ambient soundscapes.

The result is a lovely mix of summer sounds that few would find hard to resist on a lazy hot afternoon.

There are delicate pianos, painstakingly brilliant synth atmospherics and quietly reserved drumming.

As a collection, ‘Muting The Noise’ is a perfect purchase for those seeking beachside grooves.
