Morado All Estar - Damian Schwartz

Featured Review #06

Morado All Estar

Damian Schwartz [CMYK Musik]

#06 in this month's The 20

Damian Schwartz is an artist whose name precedes him.

While it hasn’t been long that he’s been in the game (with a strong entrance with friend and collaborator Alex Under for the Música Charlista moniker), his productions speak of an artist beyond his years.

Emerging once again on the CMYK Musik label, ‘Morado All Estar’ contains two gems that fit perfectly into today’s club environments.

That’s environments in plural form, because each cut is not only distinct from the other, but also from any particular category.

‘Tralfamadore’ reaches the depth of deep house while bearing the lightness and bounciness of tech house.

The intensity is increased by the time the B-side of ‘Morado Pilgrim’ reaches full impact — also bearing trademarks that liken it to today’s minimal techno scene.

The fact that Schwartz can find such range speaks not necessarily to his ability to play chameleon, but rather to his immense dedication to being an artist, no matter what classification may come as a result.

It’s a concept that will hopefully spread like wildfire.
