Signs - Ikon

Signs

Ikon [Jalapeno Records]

#17 in this month's The 20

Idyllic downtempo jazzy vibes from Alex Rizzo and Elliot Ireland’s band, Ikon.

Featuring peaceful strings and soft female vocals, ‘Signs’ is every bit as good as anything by Zero 7 or Lemon Jelly.

There are a number of sweet remixes too, including a bright prog house version from Jody Wisternoff from Way Out West.

Kid Massive makes the most of the vocal on his funky African-house mix characterized by bongos whilst Torpedo Boys’ broken beat remix works too.

Kick back, have a smoke, and drift off into sleep.
