We recently named Christian Burkhardt ‘Doubledub’ a Top Track on Beatportal, and rightly so; it’s one of the best vocal tech house tracks of 2008 so far.

The rhythmic female vocal gives the track serious staying power, and on the top of Burkhardt’s warbling bass it’ll sound superb on any club system.

The rest of the four tracker isn’t as bright as ‘Doubledub’ but they’re worthy of spinning all the same.

Fans of Johnny D’s style of rolling house should check out ‘Ovaco’ which gallops along nicely in its monotony as basslines come and go in the mix.

And for a slice of Gaiser-inspired minimal, ‘Peu A Peu’ offers a groovy, bassline heavy trip that picks up pace halfway through.

The final track, ‘Sweater’, is just as infectious too, having been built around a powerful snare and glitchy vocal snippet.

As a package, ‘Doubledub EP’ is bursting at the mid-tempo seams.
