Detroit up-and-comer Kris Wadsworth follows his Morris Audio offerings with the ‘Deport This EP’, a trio of soul-drenched cuts that tip their hat to the masters while resolutely pushing onwards. 

Taken from a true to life experience, this EP was so titled due to his deportation prior to playing at the End nightclub in London.

Though both ‘Motown Revival’ and ‘In Walked KW’ swagger brazenly in with their own retro-stylings, ‘High Roller’ takes the crown, striding confidently to the fore with a crystalline kick and gated chords that overall amount to a polished blend of lush textures.

With this kind of vibe coming fresh out of the Motor City, one can be certain that the home fires of house are still burning bright.
