As Germany becomes fully enveloped in the house sound that was generated on American shores, artists like Sascha Dive experiment with the genre while not losing grip on his original sound.
After all, all music intertwines to influence other types, and that doesn’t start or stop with dance music.
On ‘Annihilating Rhythm’, while Dive incorporates what sounds like some of the typical vocal and 4/4 house elements, it’s his minimal sense that help to set the track apart.
Instead of coming off as a raw expression, a refined production set changes the feel and reinterprets the definition of house in a foreign land.
When Samuel Davis gets a hold of ‘DEep’, indeed that deep, musty afternoon feel takes center stage — and does not lose sight of the dancefloor.
It’s not the first time that someone’s looked overseas for inspiration, and as long as innovation is a part of the equation, it’s doubtful that this is the last such excursion from Sascha Dive.
