Chromophobia - Gui Boratto

Featured Review #01

Chromophobia

Gui Boratto [Kompakt]

#01 in this month's The 20

Gui Boratto smashed his way into the scene and onto the dancefloor with a groundbreaking album of heartfelt techno and trance. Minimal in nature, but emotional and soulful, ‘Chromophobia’ ushered in a new era of sonic bliss for Kompakt and established Boratto’s credentials as one of the best producers hailing from South America.

Lead tracks ‘Beautiful Life’ and ‘Terminal’ became instant club anthems, whilst Gui Boratto has since become one of the most in-demand remixers on the planet.

Although released in April, no other album in 2007 has come close to reproducing the kind of dancefloor reaction that ‘Chromophobia’ created.

That’s why it is No.1 in our Top Albums for 2007.
