London’s Lost Souls are the crew partly responsible for making disheveled Shoreditch techno heads party in the abandoned toilet otherwise known as Public Life.
Over the last six months or so, the toilet has become one of the best dance spots in the east end, and now the boys take a big step with the launch of their own record label, Lost Souls.
Straight out of the gates is a release from German twosome Misc and a remix from Bristol king Headhunter.
Lost Souls hopefully then, will be a fine imprint for future-looking techno and dubstep.
Lead track ‘Chemosphere’ is a slamming percussive techno track with a nasty bassline and some glitchy drum hits.
Also worth checking is Perc’s remix of ‘Hooked’, which is dark and driving techno.
First prize goes to Headhunter, whose remix of ‘Chemosphere’ is pure dubby techno delight.
