Aragami Style - King Cannibal

Aragami Style

King Cannibal [Ninja Tune]

#09 in this month's The 20

Now this is a hard one. Is King Cannibal ‘Aragami Style’ dubstep or drum & bass?

Unfortunately for classification junkies, it’s both. Which makes things interesting for both camps.

Drum & bass producers have been getting into dubstep lately, attracted to the genre’s lack of restrictions (over the years drum & bass tracks have become quite formulaic), and ‘Aragami Style’ perhaps represents the melding of these two great bass-driven worlds.

Nasty gnarly bass rips through the track’s hard as nails beats that move a lot quicker than your average dubstep record.

B-Side ‘Flower Of Flesh & Blood’ is a 303-lover’s best friend, having been built around a twisted acid line and rock solid breaks.

Both tracks are original and unique, just what we’d expect from the Ninja Tune camp.
