It would be tempting to write off this latest effort by Windsor, Ontario bred computer-geek-turned-production-geek Marc Houle [a] as a mere commentary on production techniques from within the techno community itself.

But it would also be unfair to say that the cut is purely an observation.

His time in Minimalist capital Berlin no-doubt affects his view, and the balance lies somewhere in-between: ‘Techno Vocals’ is a humorous observation.

Dance music is very difficult to recreate in a live environment because it’s usually been made by one bloke in his basement, but Zombie Zombie [a] approach it from the standpoint of a live band. Their band consists of Cosmic Neman (drums) and Etienne Jaumet (keyboards and analog FX) and together they produce music akin to the experimental post-psychedelic progressive rock scene that originated out of Germany in the late 1960s and early 1970s (also known as krautrock).
