Sebo K & Metro [Get Physical]

#08 in this month's The 20

The buzz surrounding Sebo K [a] & Metro [a]’s ‘Transit’ started building last December when Gigolo Records’ boss DJ Hell featured it on his ‘Mischmasch Vol. 3’ mix CD for FourMusic.

Finally seeing the light of day on Get Physical, this deep trancey minimal techno track is a proper set builder, and igrows and grows like a teenager on steroids.

Its synths subtly change over time and get louder and more prominent, thus creating a high-energy atmosphere with a mountain of anticipation.

The track was the second tune on CD 1 of Hells compilation and soon afterwards Hell dropped Carl Craig’s mix of Theo Parrish ‘Falling Up’, which shows exactly where ‘Transit’ will work in a set.

Sven Väth is also reportedly a big fan.

On the flip, King Britt provides a deeper more downtempo tech house version of ‘Transit’ and makes more use of its melody.
