Having graduated in the minimal scene with his 2007 longplayer ‘Dumbles Debut’, Agnes’ remix of Liapin ‘Redskin’ taken from his ‘Tonkawa’ EP shows how his sound has become fuller and more loop based.

It’s hard to touch 1993’s original ‘Plastic Dreams’: That simple little chord, riff, and rollicking breakbeat still does dastardly things to dancefloors; an evergreen energy-booster.

Triebstoff has long held a reputation for high-quality, groove-heavy techno and tech-house - indeed, the label was the first to be distributed by electronic behemoth Kompakt, nearly ten years ago.

This new outing from ‘John Keys’ is in fact the work of Chilean masters Dandy Jack and Andre Garcia, who last popped up together on Crosstown Rebels with the excellent ‘Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Tsedong?’.

While the previous two releases on the label were more conceptual electronica, the new ‘Formart’ EP from Fabienne features three uncomplicated dubby techno and tech house tracks in a similar style to the recent output of Move D & Benjamin Brunn, Touane or the more dancefloor-orientated works of early Murcof.

Responsible for some of the hottest disco remixes and productions that have been coming down the pike nonstop lately, Terje has compiled some of his personal faves, including his own smoky and richly textured exotic rework of Simon Baker’s ‘Plastik’ from last summer, also featured on the actual compilation.

As a sort of celebratory nod towards the release of Seth Troxler’s ‘Love Never Sleeps’, we decided to highlight his current Beatport Top 10 for your listening pleasure.

Although the one-to-watch tag is often lazily thrown around, Troxler’s recent output has garnered him with the title, thanks in part to the aforementioned Crosstown Rebels release and his recent ‘Sexplosion EP’ effort under his Sex Trothler moniker for Wagon Repair.

As was the case last year, Hamburg’s DJ Koze has had a quietly assured 2008.

Choosing to throw himself further into the leftfield via remixes for Noze, Matias Aguayo and most notably Sascha Funke, it was only on his delectable ‘Let’s Love/I Want To Sleep’ double-header that the producer found himself in a space somewhere near to the ‘normality’ of a club track.

If you didn’t know already, this is ‘that one’ from the charming French flick ‘Amelie’ - you know, the one with the twinkling pianos that plays regularly throughout the film as the doe-faced starlet bumbles about in Paris.

While to some this Haze-ified rework will sound somewhat on the twee side, those with a weakness for pretty, plaintive melodies will be overjoyed to see that this is finally available on Beatport.
