When I join Nic Fanciulli on tour on Thursday, I’ll also get the chance to hang out with KOS who is one of the most promising new DJ talents from the UK.
With both Nic and James Zabiela heavily supporting the London-based producer and DJ, and KOS![[a]](http://www.beatportal.com/images/site/misc/wiki_box_a.gif)
on the books of the influential DJ agencies Bullitt bookings and Club Class, there are plenty of people tipping him for greater things.
KOS put together this Global Underground pre-tour Top 10 DJ chart for us, which showcases the deep techno and house sound that has become synonymous with his popular Familia club nights in Britain. It also gives some clue as to what to expect from him during the tour.

Pompadour
Chelonis R. Jones [Systematic Recor...
There’s something about Chelonis R. Jones’ voice that suits dark house music, and as such, his music is well crafted for Marc Romboy’s Systematic Recordings and the likes of Get Physical.
‘Pompadour’ is the second single to be released from Chelonis R. Jones album ‘Chatterton’, and is one of the LP’s more epic, end-of-the-night tracks.

Dimitri From Paris [Various artists...
France officially recognised Dimitri From Paris’ contribution to music by awarding him a Knight of the Arts and Letters in February 2005, so intrinsic has he been to the country’s development of house music.
Dimitri uploaded his first ever DJ chart to Beatport this week, and it shows how the award-winning producer, remixer and DJ is firmly rooted in ‘70s funk and disco. He loves uplifting soulful vocal house music and listening to it just makes you want to break out the flares and roll on down to the roller disco.

Mazi Namvar, label head of Fresh Meat and pioneer of the new school Chicago house sound, suggested in a recent interview that the city’s bubbling talent was alive and well, percolating to the surface from the underground.
On a mission to further the cause, Fresh Meat has released a monster of an LP comprised of a Grade A cut of what’s been happening on the imprint lately.
‘When Bad People Cook Good Food’ is a compilation covering the first three years of the Chicago label, with a whole roster of top notch talent showing up to take a bow.

Motor City Drum Ensemble [20:20 Vis...
Danilo Plessow of Stuttgart, Germany, known for his ‘Raw Cuts’ releases on his own MCDE imprint, finds an even deeper, subterranean voice under his Motor City Drum Ensemble moniker on this debut release for 20:20 Vision Recordings.
Here we get a dose of the emerging ‘nu’ deep house sound, while still keeping in line the mindset formed by the earlier days of Detroit.

Who exactly does The Mole belong to? Disparate imprints have housed his ever-green grooves across the course of his fruitful journey; Philpot, Kompakt, Spectral Sound and of course Wagon Repair have all offered him a room at the inn at one point or another.
The fact is, the The Mole’s output seems to fit glove-like wherever it resides; none more so perhaps than Internasjonal, the sparkling release arm of Mr. Prins Thomas.

Garuna EP
Gorge [8 Bit]
Functional. Hardly a glowing adjective to begin a music recommendation with but this would be the most accurate term with which to describe 8Bit boss Gorge’s latest musical offering.
Confusingly ditching his Reclick moniker he usually dons for the label, Gorge issues a double dose of ‘floor-focused fodder; one of which works wonderfully, and one that well, sort of does.
