Droid Recordings is the label branch of Los Angeles-based techno organization Droid Behavior. Droid was started by long-time friends Mohammed Espinosa (Drumcell) and Vidal & Vangelis Vargas (Acid Circus). After experiencing the now-legendary 90’s Southern California rave and techno scene firsthand, the trio were inspired to start their own collective near the turn of the decade, mainly to bring back enthusiasm for techno to all the partied-out Angelinos (and new LA arrivals). Droid Recordings soon followed to focus on upcoming talent in the area. Thanks to Droid and its friends, techno is back in LA and doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon.
