London based techno Oliver Ho is the brain behind Raudive, the spearhead name for a series of releases that have conjured up some of the past year’s most exhilarating techno.

The Raudive buzz started with fans of Villalobos or Hawtin chasing down a bizarre track that featured heavily on live DJs mixes of the two in 2006.

Featuring a child’s vocal and with a mind warping riff that speeds up and down in a killer breakdown, ‘Here’ proved to be one of the year’s biggest techno records.

His last release, ‘Non’, has been doing similar damage so it’s quite a coup for Steve Bug to land a release from the in demand producer for his Poker Flat label.

Lead track ‘Zeigeist’ is bleeped out sonic tension with sinister warped vocals and a jarringly wonky bassline.

‘Needles’ has a little more character helped along by a killer remix from Steve Bug that takes it on a deeper tip until it suddenly erupts into life thanks to a synapse slicing breakdown.
